Historic Tepid Baths restored and open

Mayor Len Brown officially opened the Tepid Baths with Waitemata Local Board
Chair Shale Chambers.

Auckland’s iconic Tepid Baths have reopened after a $15.8 million refurbishment that restored the Category A heritage building and modernised the swimming and fitness facilities.
“The Tepid Baths are back and I’m delighted to see them so carefully restored,” says Mayor Len Brown, who officially opened the baths with Waitemata Local Board Chair Shale Chambers.
“Thousands of Aucklanders have childhood memories of visiting the baths - long may that continue.”
The Tepid Baths are open Monday to Friday from 5.30am to 9pm, and on weekends from 7am to 7pm.
