1. Go to http://www.maxx.co.nz/.
It will look like this:
2. Type in where you are leaving from.
For example, from LSI.
3. Type in where you want to go.
For example, to Rialto Cinemas in Newmarket.
4. Enter the time you want to leave OR the time you want to be at your destination.
To enter the time you want to leave, click the button that says "Leave After". It looks like this:
For example, we want to leave at 3:30 PM.
OR if you wish to enter the time you want to arrive at your destination, click the box that says "Arrive Before". It is next to the "Leave After" button and looks like this:
Next, enter this time in the drop-down boxes the same way as shown above.
NOTE: If you want to plan your trips in advance, click the drop-down box called "Date" and choose the date you want to travel on:
5. Press the button that says "GO".
6. A list of options will come up on the screen.
It will look like this:
The list of options is on the left side of the page. Each option shows the number of the bus:
It also shows how much this option will cost:
And how long this option would take:
To look at another option on the list, just click on it.
7. On the right side of the page (next to the list), there will be more detailed information on each option.
It will tell you which bus stop to go to and where it is, as well as how long it will take you to walk to the stop.
If you are unsure how to get to this stop, click "Show Walk Map". This will show you a map of how to get to the stop from where you are leaving. It will look something like this:
Underneath this will be the number of the bus you need to take, as well as its name -- this will tell you exactly where the bus goes:
It also tells you what time the bus will be leaving from the stop:
As well as what stop you need to get off at:
And what time the bus will arrive at the stop:
There will then be instructions from how to get from the bus stop to your destination:
Like before, if you are not sure how to get from this stop to your destination, click "Show Walk Map" for more detailed instructions.

9. Now you are ready to go!
Remember that if you have any problems with the website or understanding any instructions, you can also call Auckland Transport on the telephone. The number is (09) 355 3553. You can also call this number to get directions from one place to another, or instructions on how to catch a bus if you have no access to a computer. It is a very useful number to have, so best save it on your mobile!
